Freshman Status.......Kelsey Snider

Hey everyone
I am rounding out this week's blog entries as the baby freshman! I play the position of opposite hitter and I am from Arvada, Co. I have not gotten a chance to play in any games yet but I am anxiously awaiting my turn! I am very inspired by the other girls on my team......I love playing with an amazing group of women who are all so talented, it is very exciting.

I have been playing volleyball pretty much my entire life. I always knew it was what I was meant to do. When I started looking at colleges I basically only had one thing on my mind and that was where would offer me the greatest volleyball scholarship. I was so excited and amazed when I was offered one from CSU. I secretly wanted to stay in Colorado and not go too far from home and I knew what an amazing and successful program CSU had so it was a very big honor. The older girls have talked a little bit about how important fans are at our games and I couldn't agree more. I am still learning and getting the hang of things since I am only a freshman but I know how important having a strong fan base is and I know that CSU has one of the best! Keep up the good work! See you at the games......come to as many as possible.

Hello from Megan Plourde!

Hey guys
This is really cool I am excited about this whole blog idea. As Audrey said we have an amazing fan base for our volleyball program at CSU so giving you guys a blog on everything that happens will be really exciting. I am from Wisconsin.....I came to CSU because volleyball is the one true love of my life and CSU offered me a scholarship and an amazing opportunity to be able to play all the time.

I love being on a team with my best friends. We are all really close, we come from very different backgrounds but we all are united under one common passion that we share. We have an amazing schedule set for this year......we are going to try to win the Mountain West Conference yet again so come cheer us on! In practice yesterday, Coach Hilbert was talking about how lucky we are to have fans like we do and it really made me think a lot about how true that is. I love being apart of a team that is so supported by the community it plays for! With your guys support we will go all the way to the top :)

Also come attend our plaza event on campus in the next few months. Were going to be signing autographs and handing out posters and pocket schedules and I know you all want one! haha talk to you guys soon.....

Audrey Hemmings Checking In!

Hello Everyone
My name is Audrey......like Jacque I am also one of the seniors on this years team. I am a libero defensive specialist. I am from Greeley which is not very far from Fort Collins but I also grew up knowing I wanted to go to CSU. I have always been an avid volleyball player but when it came time to go to college I did not have any huge scholarship opportunities. I ended up going to CSU and heading onto the volleyball team as a walk on. I was very blessed that I made it as a walk on and the last four years have been amazing playing with such a successful volleyball team.

Our fan base is something that makes CSU volleyball stand out. We are one of very few schools that stands out in our program for having amazing fans that support us throughout our entire season. We are also very lucky to have access to Moby, it is an amazing facility and many other school volleyball teams do not get to practice and play in such a nice area! Thanks for all your continued support......come to as many volleyball games as you can.....our schedule is posted at www.csurams.com

Talk to you Later
Audrey

Some words from Jacque Davisson

Hey all....
So I was selected to be the first player to start off this new blog, which was an honor! I am excited to have the opportunity for my team and I to be able to share with all of our fans everything that goes with being a member of nationally ranked college volleyball team. There are a lot of challenges as well as victories. The victories obviously make it all worth it but the challenges are what unite us as a team and make us stronger.

I am one of four senior this year on our team. I cannot believe that my college volleyball career is beginning to wind down. I am actually from California so I spent most of my childhood playing beach volleyball, which is where I fell in love with the sport. Coming to CSU for school and obviously for its amazing volleyball program was an obvious choice for me even though I had a lot of offers from other great schools. This is the third year that we will have won the Mountain West Conference Championship and it feels great. Our next stop will be the NCAA championship which is always an amazing challenge for us.

I have a lot of future goals. I want to be a firefighter and as far as volleyball goes I am hoping to eventually qualify for the U.S. Olympic team in Rio de Janero. That is the ultimate dream.....as you can tell I like to dream big :) Well I am actually going to go get ready for practice as we speak! Thanks for letting me be the first one to start off this blogging experience......I think it is going to be really fun for the team! Come to our game this Thursday at 7 PM we are taking on University of New Mexico and they are ranked right behind us in second place in the MWC so it should be a great game!

Bye!
Jacque
